Description

Jean-Claude, known as Crabey, invites you to discover two traditional activities: the tradition of shepherds who used to move about on stilts, and the tapping of pine trees for resin.

He will tell you about the lives of shepherds through various documents and photographs. Crabey will offer to give a demonstration and an introduction to walking on stilts.
Private tuition is available on request.
Once you’ve learnt to walk on stilts, it’s like riding a bike – you never forget!

When it comes to resin tapping, he’ll tell you about how it was done back then, show you the tools that were used, and finish with a demonstration on a pine tree.

Fancy giving it a go? Do feel free to get in touch with Crabey – he’s really passionate about it and you won’t even notice the time flying by!!
