Description

Michel Andreu, from Grains de Médoc, invites you to an immersive experience in the forests of the Médoc during the deer rutting season (mid-September to mid-October). These guided night-time excursions combine:
An introduction to the ecology of the red deer: its life cycle, its role in local mythology, and its observable behaviours during the rutting season, accompanied by visual aids and an interactive quiz
In the darkness, listening to the bellow: pinpointing the stags, the variations in pitch, the volume of their calls… a rare and fascinating sensory experience.
Outings bearing the ‘Valeurs Parc naturel régional’ label: this activity forms part of a commitment to quality and sustainability, promoting the identity of the Médoc region whilst respecting its environment.
