CPIE Médoc

Based in the heart of the Gironde’s last remaining coastal marshes, the Curuma CPIE Médoc association aims to develop a shared vision of the challenges involved in wetland management and to establish the initiatives launched in Verdon-sur-Mer as a model for others to follow.
Accredited as a Médoc Centre Permanent d’Initiatives pour l’Environnement (C.P.I.E) since 2009, it works in two areas to promote sustainable development:
– supporting local areas in the pursuit of public policies and projects led by local stakeholders
– raising awareness and educating everyone about the environment.
It is within this framework that nature walks on various themes (biodiversity, wetlands, the coastline and erosion) are organised for the general public.
